Classical pianist, loves Virginia Woolf, C.S. Lewis, and Malcolm Gladwell. My favorite days include a lot of alone time, and getting lost in a city. My face lights up from sunlight, writing, photography, and making someone else's day a little better.

'Follow your dreams,' it's what I've done, and it has always brought me somewhere worthwhile.

Upon reading certain entries, I am brought back to a time and space when I was different.

If it is important enough to you, you will find a way. If it is not, you will find an excuse.

Rendition: If it is important to you, it will find a way.  If it is not, it will lose its way.

Quote

Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point, which means, at the point of highest reality.

A chastity or honesty or mercy which yields to danger will be chaste or honest or merciful only on conditions.

Pilate was merciful till it became risky.

— C.S. Lewis wrote on courage in The Screwtape Letters

I repeated, “I’m not mad at myself,” in my head for 20 minutes straight as I drove to work this morning, because I was running late for no reason. Because I can never do what I want to do, because I break my promises, because I am irresponsible, because I fail, falter, and don’t get up, because I disappoint myself, because I disappoint others, because I don’t know how to make amends, because I take and don’t give, because I make mistakes every living day, every living hour, and I hate it.
